A rollercoaster doesn’t even begin to describe the turmoil we are navigating - either being a frontline responder to being personally affected by policy change. We sincerely hope that you are taking care of yourself - mentally, physically and emotionally, because this is just the beginning and it is going to be a long journey to navigate the long-term effects.
At rootid, we are certainly staying aware, but also focusing on the work with our community partners with the hopes that it continues to stay rooted in helping undo white supremacy culture.
It’s not going to be an easy path, but we must lean into our community and our shared humanity.

You shared. We listened. With your feedback we’re making some changes to how you’ll get to experience our roundtables.
The four roundtable topics we’ll be hosting this year (dates might change) are also based on your feedback:
Grace, our graphic designer, is bringing us a healing 3-part blog series. Dig into the first part.
“Softness in social justice doesn’t mean ignoring oppression, staying silent, or letting things slide. It’s about approaching people and movements with compassion and empathy to foster understanding.”
Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority selected us to be their website redesign partner last year and we’re excited to share how their new website incorporates streamlined navigation, storytelling, opportunities to attend events and learn more about their conservation practices. Check it out and visit a preserve if you’re in the South Bay!
